the 2010 world cup. this sporting event has provided heart pounding excitement, as well as, the testing of physical and mental endurance of men from around the world that will to lead up to tomorrow’s final hurrah.  go spain!

there is art in sport. the technique, the training, the flawless execution of athletic repitition, it’s quiet artistic in form as well as function. this year in south africa, art of another medium has become equally as popular as the activities on the soccer field.  there is an exhibit curated by 2010 fine art (an international art exhibit) showcasing creative expression from various artists from around the world. their chosen medium? the 2010 world cup.

spearheaded by clint strydom, a south african photographer, international artists contributed their visions of africa, in addition to the memories that this year’s world cup has provided.
